Is Exness FCA regulated? Review pages say yes under FCA reference 730729; no public record this desk could read confirms a live permission. The firm announced FCA approval for Exness Europe Limited in 2016; that company is now EXNESS (UK) LTD, Active at Companies House. The FS Register, which alone records a live permission, could not be read.
Updated 3 October 2026: New title and opening; Companies House 2025 accounts filing and next due date updated.
Three readable pages on the query on 14 September 2026 agree on “yes” and disagree on the detail. TopBrokers, updated 23 May 2026, writes that Exness (UK) Ltd “is an investment firm authorized and regulated” by the FCA. Brokersway, updated 31 March 2026, answers “Yes, Exness operates under FCA regulation” without naming a legal entity. FX Trust Score, licences “verified: 22 June 2026” says the UK entity is “fully authorised but does not onboard UK retail clients”. None of the three pages, in the passages read, gives the company number, the incorporation date, the previous names or a filing date.
What the Companies House file for EXNESS (UK) LTD says
The company overview, read on 14 September 2026, records EXNESS (UK) LTD, company number 08861481, a private limited company, status Active, incorporated on 27 January 2014, registered office 107 Cheapside, London EC2V 6DN. The nature of business is SIC 64999, “Financial intermediation not elsewhere classified”, self-declared and silent on permissions. Re-read on 3 October 2026, the file shows accounts to 31 December 2025 filed on 29 September 2026; the next, to 31 December 2026, are due by 30 September 2027. The last confirmation statement is dated 14 March 2026; the next is due by 28 March 2027.
Two previous names are listed: EXNESS EUROPE LTD from 27 January 2014, and EXNESS EUROPE LIMITED from 29 January 2014 until 9 October 2017. That second name is the one in the firm’s press release of September 2016, carried by ACN Newswire under “Source: EXNESS”, announcing that “its UK entity, Exness Europe Limited, has received regulatory approval” from the FCA “under Register number 730729”. It is a ten-year-old statement by the firm about a grant; it establishes nothing about 2026.

The SH01 figures are nominal share capital, not cash, client money or regulatory capital. A company that is Active, current and capitalised can hold a permission with restrictions on it, hold one it no longer uses, or hold none, and Companies House would look identical in all three cases.
Why Companies House cannot say whether Exness is FCA regulated
The Vantage Markets file had seven namesakes and one authorised LLP; here there is one company, and the doubt is entirely about what it may do. Companies House records that a legal person exists, who runs it and what it filed. The FS Register records what the FCA has permitted that person to do, to whom, and on what conditions. And as this desk has said of the Warning List, only one of the public records in play records anything granted. That register is the one this desk could not open, and by house rule an entry not read is not quoted. So neither the review sites’ “yes” nor FX Trust Score’s restriction is repeated here as fact.
Which Register fields to check before believing any of the three
Search the FS Register for reference number 730729 and read, in order: the status line, which separates an authorised firm from a lapsed one; the trading and previous names, which should show EXNESS EUROPE LIMITED if the 2016 grant is the one in question; the permissions, which list activities and the client types each covers; and any requirements or restrictions, where a limitation such as not dealing with retail clients is recorded. Then compare the entity name and number on the Register with the terms and footer of whatever Exness site is onboarding; if those name a Seychelles, Cyprus or other company, the UK entry is beside the point and the FSCS position follows the entity signed with, as the wider survey set out.
Is Exness regulated in the UK?
Not established by anything this desk could read. The UK entity is EXNESS (UK) LTD, company 08861481, Active at Companies House on 14 September 2026. Third-party pages state FCA reference 730729 and the firm announced FCA approval under that number in 2016. The FS Register, the only record of a current permission, could not be read from this desk, so no present-tense answer is offered here.
Does Exness accept UK clients?
Unresolved on the pages that opened. One review site read on 14 September 2026 states the UK entity is authorised but does not onboard UK retail clients; the firm’s own UK site and help-centre page were blocked to this desk and are not quoted. The FS Register entry, under its status, permissions and requirements fields, is where a retail restriction would be recorded.
What is Exness’s FCA reference number?
Third-party pages give 730729, and the firm’s own press release of September 2016 announced FCA approval for Exness Europe Limited under Register number 730729. Companies House shows that company was renamed EXNESS (UK) LTD on 9 October 2017, which ties the number to the current name. Whether the number still carries a live permission is a question only the FS Register answers.
The usual footing: spread bets and CFDs carry a substantial risk of loss; a company number is not a permission and nothing above is financial advice. Check the Register.
